To Perla and her family,

I only knew Perla for a brief time and I will always regret not spending more time with her. She was a wonderful and beautiful girl with love and energy like no other. It is only today, more than two years after she is gone that I am learning this and I just can't contain the sadness. Perla, I hope you will forgive me for not being a better friend to you and showing you the passion for friendship you showed me. I will never forget you.

I’m convinced that God is aware of the pain you and your family are feeling right now. It says, “Throw your burden upon Jehovah (God’s name) himself. And he himself will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous on to totter.” How can you throw your burdens on God? Well, Philippians 4:6, 7 provides the answers: “Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.” Yes, in response to our persistent prayers and supplications, Jehovah can give us an inner calm that protects our minds from being disturbed by distressing situations. In due time, God will raise our love ones back to life. At John 5: 28, 29, Jesus says, ” Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment. These words may not relieve the pain you are feeling at present, but John 5:28, 29 make it very clear that we will see our dead love ones again. I hope you all will find these scriptures encouraging.
