Louise Peck and I became friends as she attended the United Presbyterian Church of Shushan faithfully. Some evenings I would stop over at her house and she was cordial and enjoyed talking with me . The last time I visited with Louise she had remembered it was her school chum's 90th birthday and she wanted to phone her friend. Her friend had phoned her on May 8th 2011, so she wanted to return the favor. I found the number and

I am deeply saddened with the loss of miss Louis Peck. Louis was a very good friend of my grandmother Pauline Quackenbush. I myself have some vague memories of her growing up walking around shushan and lLouis always having that smile on her face and greeting you it made you feel good,I will always remember that. Most recently i started taking care of her where I work and that's where I learned alot about my family and she made me

Dear Karen, Jane and Family,
I have many nice memories of Miss Peck at S.W.A., not that I was ever in the principle's office. I wonder how many Shushan kids she gave a ride home to at the end of her work day, before the days of the late bus ? I remember she was always Miss Peck in Salem and Louise in Shushan. Shushan will always be Shushan but never the same without Louise. My truest sympathy at this sad time.

What can you say about about a great lady, She always said hi when you saw her in Shushan. You would always count on her smile when you saw her in school. I was blessed to know this great lady.

What a lovely lady who had the kindest and sweetest heart!! At school, she was always there to help ya if you had a question or problem. I can still see her in the school office. Thanks for everything you did for us "kids" of SWA!! You will be missed........

Louise was an amazing person. She was the soft-spoken, lovely lady, who knew all the inner workings of the school. It was said that Louise was the real boss-person who got things done... She just never told anyone that. She was a wonderful person.

I remember Miss Peck in many ways. When I was sent to the office when I was a student, Louise had to watch me as I sat on that hard bench in the outer office. When I returned yo S.W.A. as a teacher she was very helpful to me and as someone else said she was one of the most important members of the staff. She was so dedicated to her job and S.W.A.

I worked after school in the office with Miss Peck my last 2 yrs I was in high school. I helped with whatever jobs she needed me to do; I particularly remember typing and mimeographing tests! She seemed to know everything about what went on in the school and was a great role model for me as I went on to college & out in the world to work. RIP Miss Peck!
