Walking through St Luke's Church today, we were viewing all the historic headstones. We happened to come across Ms Harte's plot today and noticed that it was fairly new. My husband and I were curious as to who Ms Harte could be so we looked up her obituary. I have to say Ms Harte seemed like a very intelligent and caring person. Dear Vonnie and Wallace,
We received your very sad news and cannot imagine its being a reality.
What a blessing to have known Amy from second grade onwards, to hear even now her laugh, to have enjoyed her love and encouragement, and to treasure her always making us feel like family. We love her as one of OUR extended family.

I am so sorry to hear of Amy's passing. I have so many fond memories of her as we grew up together in the Surry Methodist Church and at Surry Academy!
