Our neighbor knew Basil and we just found out about his passing. He was moms walking partner in FL when your parents lived behind mine in Lake Alfred. It was ironic that we ended up living so close to each other again. We apologize for not getting together more often, but enjoyed the times you were able to bring your dad to visit. So sorry for your loss, but we can only hope to have such a long life with so many friends! Everyone that knew Basil always spoke highly of him....that's a legacy in itself.

I have fond memories of Basil and Florence when we were growing up next door to you in Onsted. They were great friends to our parents, Lloyd and Elizabeth Kurtz. God bless all of you.

I first met Basil at Duboise flower shop. I worked Thursday and Saturday as a delivery person. He stopped in to give me some hints, and , in and outs of the business. We became fast friends. He stopped by often. I also got to know him at bingo in Onsted. I will miss him. He was a loving and kind man.

Rocky and Mary Ann and family. So sorry to hear about Basil. How awesome it was for us to get to know Basil, as he told us of things he did in the past and we discovered our families crossed paths many years ago. I loved playing cards with him. If you took to long to make a decision, he would tell you "just do it, it's only cards, what can it hurt". Basil, you will be missed, May the love of God that passes all understanding comfort your loved ones in this time of sorrow.
