Doreen, Melvin, Norman

We extend our sympathy to each of you and hope that you will find comfort knowing that your parents are again together. My mother (Luella Taylor) told us how pleasantly surprised she was when your parents stopped by to visit while they were in Florida.

We are so sorry for your loss. But how wonderful that your children had their grandparents for a long time and that your mother and father had such blessed and long lives! We value your friendship over the years. God watch over you and your family.

Abe was truly my kidding, joking, friend. He always teased me about wearing a pink nightie, that he never saw, and I never owned. When Ray & I moved to our home in SE Ankeny, Abe dropped in to visit. I could not come to the door, right away, because I was busy in our "work-in progress" bathroom, without a door. Thank goodness I was well hidden by a wall & hallway, so we just hollered back & forth until

Dear Doreen, Melvin, and Norman,
I have such special and sweet memories of my visiting with you in Ankeny, and of the visiting here in Carmel. Your Dad Abe was a unique man with such a friendly warm heart. Abe and Lucille were a great couple I was so glad to know. I was always touched that I was kept in the "family loop" by them. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families at this time of his passing.

We were so sorry to hear the news. We've many memories of Abe and Lucille ... always a welcoming smile, always a wonderful memory story shared, always kind words. They visited us at one point when we lived in Littleton, Colorado --- a joy to see them. McCleary Reunions were always looked forward to as well. Our thoughts are with all. They are together once again.

Childhood memories were waiting for a picture of the McCleary family at Christmas time. My Mother collected them all and we watched the family grow and change. My sympathy to the family.

My sympathies to you Mel, as well as sister Doreen and brother Norman and all of you families. I met Abe only once but it was a good time at the Clay County Fair the week after the 911 attacks. God Bless you all and may the serenity that is provided by Jesus Christ be with you at this dificult tim

I'm so sorry I could not make it to the visitation and grave side services. I have so many great memories of Uncle Abe. He was a great man and always didn't matter what kind of day you were having he would make it better. Him and Aunt Lucille would always stop at mom and dad's ( Ray and Beverly Bennett) on their way to Florida for the winter and what a fun night that would be with all the

Sorry, I am unable to attend the visitation tonight. I'll always remember Abe as being very talkative and vocal at the McCleary reunions. Also remember the strawberries and Angel food cake that he and Lucille always brought to the reunions. So glad I got to see him this past June at the last reunion. He will be sadly missed when we meet again next June.

I will always remember Abe as such a friendly happy person. The first time I met him was here in Kalispell as he and Lucille were traveling through. He had such an upbeat attitude and some very funny family stories about my grandfather, Herman McClung.

My deepest sympathy to all in his family in the loss of what must be a large part of their lives.
