It's Mother's Day weekend and I hurt so much knowing you won't be over to spend the day with me and bringing your awesome green been casserole. We had such a nice afternoon last year. I remember when you sent me roses for my first Mother's Day, that just blew me away! I have a huge void in my life that can never be filled. You will always be in my heart and I will always love you.

I remember Gary from our Lunn family reunions in Ohio. We were about the same age and I had a big crush on you. You are dearly missed.

I miss you so much. We are at the end of college football season and you would be so proud of your Gators! On the day of the Fla/FSU game it just wasn't the same and never will be. I remember our call last year before the game that lasted into a score by each of our schools. We shared a lot of good memories with this rivalry & had a lot of fun! I miss you everyday! Love you so much!

I knew Gary when my platoon (CamPen, 1st Plt.) came down to Yuma for a disposal operation. When we pulled in to the EOD shop in Yuma, he greeted us in his cami trousers and no shirt. He truly defined the term "white boy". He really needed some sun. I remember him always laughing and joking around, but not when we were on live ammo or ordnance. There were no jokes then. He was a natural leader that most guys rallied around and respected. I'll miss him and his humor. God bless you, GG.

I only knew Gary briefly. Matt "Sumo" and I had a blast one year at his New Year's Eve Party in Oceanside. Rest in peace Gary. Semper Fi EOD friend. My thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends.

Fondly looking back on those times when Gene and family would come for visits in West Virginia; admiring thoughts from the circle of friends he made over the years; and praying for peace for all who knew and loved him.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Garys family and friends. I had the pleasure of working with Gary at Camp LeJeune back in 1991-93 while we were attached to the 2nd EOD Platoon and again as civilian UXO techs in Spring Valley, DC. This sad news comes as a total shock and Gary will be sorely missed by the EOD/UXO community. Fair winds my brother and Semper Fi Devil Dog.

I will always remember working in Cache 4, Diwaniya Iraq playing Texas Hold 'Em and partying in Koh Samui Thailand in January 2005. RIP. Semper fi bro.
