Memories & Candles
I love you so much, Melissa. I will never forget you, you were like a mom to me. I will never forget playing dress-up with you and going to Build-A-Bear. I will always remember seeing you at the island and sitting on the porch in the shade. You tried to teach me how to crochet and I got so frustrated with you and gave up. I had fun with you on the island and I am glad that my last

I just wanted to extend my sincerest condolences to Melissa's family and close friends. I did not know her well, But I do know she was loved dearly by so many and she will be so missed. My heart goes out to you all. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted".

To my dear friends Carol and Steve and the their families.I am both devastated and heartbroken for your loss. Melissa was great fun to be with. We did face painting and balloon animals at parties. She always had a big smile for me and I was always glad to see Melissa albeit the events were getting fewer and fewer. I will remember Melissa always. She is now an angel watching over us.

I only got to know Melissa for a few months while working at New River Valley Community Services and am deeply saddened to learn of her passing. In my short time in getting to know her, Melissa was an admirable young woman who was very caring and compassionate. She was personable and so likeable. She will surely be missed by all who knew her. My thoughts will be with her family as they mourn and reflect on all the wonderful memories that she's left behind.

As a fellow employee, I did not know Melissa all that well, but had spoken with her during her comings and goings from the office. I appreciated that she was easily approachable, had a warm smile and made time for others. I was sorry to hear of her sudden passing - please know that she will be missed -

My condolences to Melissa's family, as I was so sad to hear of this tremendous loss. It seems like only yesterday that we were all getting together for a 'girl's night out', (of which there were so many fond memories). I have taken out old pics from my old backyard in HP, before FDR Prom '98- Melissa, me, Kimmy, Robin...and it is with both tears and smiles that I look upon them, (lots of old inside jokes come to mind).
