Memories & Candles
Tom is one of the finest people I have ever known---professional, caring, compassionate, respectful...the list goes on and on. Others can only try to achieve what Tom succeeded in. In the mental health world he was loved and respected by peers and clients alike, much the same in his personal life-Tom had the gift and ability to touch those around him in a profound manner. Tom---you will be greatly missed.

Dear Ferstle Family, We are the former owners of Patience II. Tom, in his last Christmas card, had asked Larry to go sailing with him this year. While looking for your telephone # on the internet we were saddened to see Tom's obituary. We were always glad that Tom sailed "our" boat, an avid sailor like Larry is! Also, glad we got to meet & know Tom, a kind man.We will always remember him. So sorry for your loss! Larry & Marge Lozen

Deepest sympathy to Kathy and Brian and all Tom's loved ones.
Tom was a happy individual who loved life. I enjoyed working with him at Charter Bank. He loved his family and he cared about others. Tom you will be missed by many. May you have eternal happiness in God's kingdom.

We have such happy memories of Tom. One of the dearest is him showing up at our back door on Will Carleton dressed as Santa. Because of that, I know that Leah still believes! "Yes", Leah, "there is a Santa Claus."
We can't begin to understand your loss. We pray that your happy memories will bring you comfort..
To Tom we say as Horatio said to his Hamlet, "Good night sweet prince. May flights of angels sing thee to thy place of rest."

I will always remember the great times riding bicycles with Tom. He was always fun to ride along with and even more fun during the after ride socializing. One night in Stratford, Ontario, after visiting a few local establishments, we returned to the town's arena singing a very loud and probably off key MSU Fight Song, waking up most of the one hundred or so riders who were sound asleep. The hundred miles back to Sarnia were a little rough,

I have such fond memories of Tom when we worked at the bank. He was one of the funniest people I have ever met and was such a kind, wonderful individual. I thought it was odd we both ended up in the nonprofit world and I know how highly he was regarded. My condolences to his family and those at Community Care.
