Memories & Candles
To the family of William("Bill") McVay:
I am sorry for your loss. I was present when "Bill" gave a homily for his brother Jim in January 2010. It was very sincere and touching.
My association with "Bill" is that I am a former colleague of his nephew, Jim, and do pray for your needs during this time.
Sincerely,
Greg Grzesk

Myself and my brother Bud grew up with Pastor McVay and have very fond memories of him and his family. I also remember his wife and children. I have not seen any of them in many years, but I recognized him face immmediately. He was such a kind and friendly man. He married my brother and his wife at First Missionary Church in Niles 31 year ago. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Sandy and his children at this

Sandy and family, we were sorry to hear the news of Bill's death and the suffering from cancer he experienced. May God be with you all during these days and place wonderful memories in place of the suffering. Bill was a fun person. With his eyes full of excitement and his great smile, you could always tell something was brewing and he couldn't wait to tell you!

Dear Sandy, We have so many memories of Bill and you over the years since arriving in Winona Lake, and then in Indianapolis. Bill was a special friend and co-worker and our kids loved him as a friend and Youth pastor. We were blessed to have known Bill and were saddened to learn of his death. We do know we'll see him again in heaven!! Love and prayers for you and your whole family! Beth & Gary

My heart goes out to your immediate and extended family. The fight against cancer can never sleep and Bill and his family know that first hand. To all the survivors and caregivers of the McVay family - please know my prayers are with you. To all that we will now light luminarias for -- we will never forget and never stop fighting.

I met Bill through his work in the schools and his outreach to the youth of Niles. The impact he had on the spiritual lives of those youth now extends to the next generation. There is no greater legacy than the lives he changed through his faithfulness to Christ.

These last couple of years have been a character building journey of perseverance and loving care for you and a
