Mrs. Judy Alderman Darsey, age 60, of McDonough, Georgia passed away August 1, 2012. Judy was born in Columbus, Georgia the daughter of the late Luther Alderman Sr. and Mona Kennedy Alderman Amerson. She was also preceded in death by a step father, Elbert Amerson Sr. Judy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, spoiling her grandchildren, fishing and traveling to Biloxi. Survivors are her husband, Dan Darsey Sr. of McDonough; children, Danny Darsey Jr. (Nicole) of Asheville, NC, and Elizabeth JoAnn Darsey of McDonough; granddaughters, Meghan Johnson of Macon, Monica Ladson and Samantha Ladson of McDonough; siblings, Luther Alderman Jr. (Diane) of Macon, Beth Alderman Morris (Chris) of Snellville, Miles Alderman (Trisha) of Dallas, TX, Stephanie Amerson and Elbert Amerson Jr.; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, August 6, 2012 – from 6 – 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 – 11:00 AM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Max Hill officiating. Interment will be at 2:30 PM at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. For those who wish in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The American Brain Tumor Association, 8550 W. Wow I am at such a loss for words , When I found out she had passed I could not believe it. Judy was like a mom to me growing up in my teenage years . I know Joann and I were pain in the butts sometimes but she never gave up on us she will be missed greatly . My heart goes out to Dan , Danny and Joann. She can now go fly with the angles .
