Ella May Upham, age 94, passed away on August 5, 2012. She was born July 16, 1918 to William & Jennie (Calhoon) Nichols in Saint Marys, KS. Most of her life was spent in the Kansas City area, except for a few years she lived in Los Angeles. A retiree of Lake City Arsenal she enjoyed attending the 25 year club dinners. She also loved to travel and always enjoyed discussing politics. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Lola Miller, husband Raymond Upham and grandson Mark Paschall. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Paschall and husband Jerry Jantzen, grandson Robin Paschall and wife Christie of Wilmington, NC; granddaughter Michelle Loftis and husband Eric of Norman, OK; great grandsons Shawn Paschall and Taylor Loftis and great granddaughter Erica Loftis. She was lovingly attended in her final illness by Lovie, Suzie and Joyce of Crossroads Hospice and Larry Miller a long time friend. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 9th from 11-12 pm at the Newcomer's Floral Hills Chapel. Funeral services will be officiated by Chaplain Alan Harris of Crossroads Hospice and will begin at 12:00 pm following visitation. Burial will be held at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
