I think of you so many times throughout each day -- a funny story or event that I just want to share with you, but can't. It's been almost 5 months since you left us and the heartache doesn't go away. But I know you are happy and not in pain or having difficulty just breathing comfortably or walking. It's been almost 5 months since you left us and the heartache doesn't go away. But I know you are happy and not in pain or having difficulty just breathing comfortably or walking. Our Lord decided he needed another Welsh voice in the choir and so I can only pray that you are watching over each of us who misses you so much! Our anniversary is coming up --- December 31st --- it would have been 16 years this year. And I can honestly say they were they happiest of my life. You always made me smile and laugh. You were always there to support me in any endeavor and you encouraged me to step out and beyond my comfort level in all aspects of life. Know that you are ALWAYS in my heart, in my thoughts and prayers. And I will see you one day, again. Thank you dear Lord and Saviour for giving me Jack in my life. I love you and miss you, Jack! Jane

I will never forget your kindness to me and how grateful i am that i had the opportunity to meet someone like you. I will never forget my time in Washington and still remember my stay like it was yesterday. A true warrior, academic and all round amazing guy.

A day that I miss him and my heart cries. Dad wouldn't want me to say SAD things, because this incredible man was one that brought laughter to everyone, who wore a constant smile - a genuine smile. He was the happiest person I've ever known, despite all of his trials, in part because this was his nature, in part because he was a man who knew the Lord so well, and also because he truly loved to bring joy, smiles, and most of all laughter to those whose company he kept. He was a patriot, he loved his America, and he served it well. Without a doubt, he was the most extraordinary and wonderful man I have or will ever know. Every single piece of goodness I may have is because of my father, and of course, my mother. If every child were to be graced with parents such as mine, this world would be a beautiful place.

It was a great pleasure to not only know Jack as a colleague but as a friend. His smile and enthusiasm were infectious. In addition to the work in the NCIS, Jack also had a full career in health care. A life that was truly dedicated to helping others. He an Jane made the perfect couple as they both believed so much in people and the power of love, compassion and patience. Jane my prayers are with you, your family and loved ones. May God bless you and keep you in the warmth and light of his love.

I wish to express my peraonal condolences and those of the members of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service Association, I never worked personally with Jack during his time with NCIS, but knew of his reputation as a gentleman and dedicated law enforcement officer. May God bless Jack and hIS family.

Jack was the brother I never had. We met in third grade at Langdon Elementry and became lifelong friends. Together, we shared good and traumatic times. Although, there were times when our lives took different paths, when we got together or talked on the phone our relationship picked up right where we left off. Jack was kind, thoughtful, and had a wonderful sense of humor which is why he attracted so many friends that loved him dearly. Jack was an inspiration to us all.

Jack & I had a very modern introduction through his Niece Nancy Hughes of whom I became friends with in 2007. Jack & I built up a wonderful friendship by exchanging emails & it didn’t take me long to grow very fond of his boyish charm, his silly sense of humour, his gentle nature & to also realise his great interest in his Welsh Heritage&culture.

He was very proud to have worked at NCIS & he was so excited for us all to visit the NCIS HQ based in 2008 where we met the Director Tom Betro & had a wonderful afternoon exploring the Navy Museum. However, I will always remember that day because after our visit we got lost in the notorious East side (or was that West side?!) of D.C heading home with only a couple of gallons of petrol in the tank&no gas station to be found!He didn’t mind one bit when I had shouted “Bloody Hell” because I was feeling scared, in fact he thought it hilarious. We all breathed a huge sigh of relief&laughed about the potential consequence breaking down in such a location…when we were safely home!
Jack was very thoughtful, not only did he fully understand and poke fun of my celebrity crush on Christian Bale he would also search for films I hadn’t seen of his!
Jack had told me he still felt he was 30yrs old,he tried not to let his abilities stop him from enjoying life. We joked about pimping up his electric cart for some daredevil stunts in the middle lane on Route 95,he got a kick out of how exciting that would be,but only with the appropriate head protection! I loved his infectious enthusiasm&cheeky smile.
I have so many fond memories of Jack. He always had good advice&I feel so fortunate to have shared some great times with him&blessed he touched my life . He was a caring loveable soul who I thought of as a second Dad, my family. I nicknamed him Cariad (Welsh for love)&he would always reciprocate my affections by referring to me with a variety of terms of endearment, such a sweetheart. Jack was my American Hero, I will miss him deeply.
