Memories & Candles
I just learned of Tom's passing today. Tom was SUCH a great friend to my family when I taught at Wolcott. My husband was going through Palmer and he brought his daughter to my Tom for treatments. He helped us through some very difficult times and ALWAYS teased me about our dog, Smokey. I only have wonderful memories of our short time together. My husband also passed away suddenly and I can imagine the two of them together in Heaven! I know he will be missed! With Understanding Sympathy. Lisa Soapes

I was saddened to hear of Tom's death, we were high school classmates. We were reacquainted at a high school reunion after several decades and kept in touch through email. We could always count on Tom to keep the atmosphere happy at those reunions. There will definitely be a void at the next reunion. Rest in peace dear friend.

Like so many others, I was a student of Mr.Wolfe. He was one of the greatest teachers I've ever had. He was excited about lessons and people like I had never seen. He definately inspired me to earn my history degree and I will always be grateful that I had the opportunity to be taught by him.

Thank You Mr. Wolfe for the great memories and all that you brought to the class room. You were one of the reasons that one of my degrees is in History. You taught me to "reach out" and find new adventures through reading, for that I am thankful. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to tell you that in later years. Rest in peace and know that you were loved and valued as a teacher and a friend.

I was in "Mr. Wolfe's" 1st class he taught at Blue Grass. He was a great teacher right from the beginning! Here I am 62 years old and still interested in History, still reading great old books about how our country began. God bless him and his family.

Tom was one of the most good-natured men I have had the pleasure of knowing. I can't think of a time where I wasn't laughing within the first 5 minutes of meeting up with Tom at a teacher's union meeting or conference. As a former speech and debate coach who has had the occasion to hear many a speech in my day, his speech accepting the Charles F. Martin Award was quite simply the best award acceptance speech--bar none--that I

Tom and I attended all 12 grades at Delmar School, graduating from Delmar High School in 1958. Some of our classmates became reacquainted with each other, and with Tom, as we worked together to plan our 50th class reunion four years ago. We have continued to stay in touch since that event. Tom always had an impish sense of humor, which he never lost. He had matured into a caring, compassionate advocate for those in need. Our class get-togethers won't be the same without him.
With sympathy and love,

Dear Family,
There was never a dull moment in the classroom or teachers lounge when Tom was around. He was wit, a politician, a wonderful teacher that kept those middle school students wondering, "what is he going to do next?" Our sincere sympathy in your loss, but the memories you have will carry through the rough time now. WE remember his dedication to the teaching of young people, and will rmember him fondly both at Blue Grass and Walcott. God Bless you all.

Margie, so sorry to hear about Tom. The obituary sounds like "Tommy Wolfe" remained a delightful person. It seemed he was always full of it as high school students.
I will keep all of you in my prayers.
