Memories & Candles
I was new to Fullerton H.S. as a sophmore and thanks to Charleen's kindness and acceptance, I felt completely welcome and part of a group. That feeling remained with me not only for the rest of high school, but to this day. I am so grateful for our time together at the 50 year reunion. I know where Charleen is and I can only hope to be reunited with her some day. My heart and prayers go out to her family.

I was so sorry to hear of Charleen's passing, she is such a sweet person so full of life and always cheerful about everything, she could always make you laugh no matter what. How fitting she passed away on Lavon's Birthday, they were such good friends and did so much together towards the end of her life. I'm sure your neighborhood will never be the same with out you.
Your dear family will truly have a deep whole in it

I am reminded of a quote I found upon hearing of the death of fellow Bellevue 2nd ward friend, Marideth Bean yrs ago: Remember Me~
"Remember me with laughter smiles, for that is how I will remember you all. But if you remember me with tears and sorrow, I won't remember you at all" Sweet, sweet Charleen. You are missed. Love you,

Hi family,
I just wanted to tell you how sorry we all are. Charleen was an awesome lady and she was such a good friend to my mom. We have great memories of living in Tam-O-Shanter in Bellevue and charleen taking us places and bringing us treats. She will always be one of the sweetest, most beautiful women I know! Hugs & Prayers for each of you!
Love,
Shauna Losse Matthews and family!
PS I'm sure she and my mom had a nice reunion!!

Charleen was a dear, sweet and vibrant person. She brought fun and cheer wherever she went. It has been years since we have seen her, but we hold fond and loving memories. Our deep condolences to the entire family.

Sisters are different flowers in the same garden. A sister is a gift to the heart, a golden thread to the meaning of life. Sisters are for sharing laughter and wiping tears. The best thing about having a sister is that you always have a friend, because sisters share a special friendship thAt lasts a lifetime. A sister is a little bit of a childhood that can never be lost. I will always remember and love you, Charleen! I will

We're so sorry for the loss of this wonderful Mother. We have so many fond memories of Charleen's fun-loving laugh and beautiful singing voice. We know she'll be missed by many, near and far.

We were only able to have Charlene here in VA for a short while but the youth, and us older 'youth' were so blessed by her presence. She was someone who you always wished the very very best to for the life and light she spread to our worlds. Carry on Charlene, I am sure your new world is lit even brighter

Charlene and I went to Fullerton Union High School together, FUHS .
We sang in choir together and belonged to a special group of 8 guys and 8 girls. We had pretty pink dresses and the guys had white tux's. We performed at many functions and had lots of fun. I have enjoyed getting reaquainted with her through Face Book the last two years. It was so nice seeing her at the 50th class reunion and to have a nice visit

After more than 25 years, how fortunate I feel to have recently been able to give Charleen (Sis. Mayne) a hug and to have thanked her for example, friendship, and love as one of my early morning seminary teachers. Her smile and up-lifting personality have long since been etched in my heart and will always be cherished. I will be eternally grateful for her testimony and love for the gospel that was shared with such enthusiasm; it was just what
