Dr. Hartman obviously deeply loved his family to have fought so long and so valiantly against his disease these past years in order to continue to share time with them. His example of courage and perseverance will continue to inspire all of those who knew him as will the legacy he left behind through his dedication and commitment to Carmel's students and faculty.
We extend our sincerest sympathy to Ann and his family because of your loss.

I always admired Bob as a person who demonstrated leadership with a calm, soothing manner. He was an individual who defined the word "class". He loved his family and was always nice to family friends. He will be missed by many!

My condolences to all of his family, especially Ann. He will be in my prayers. Love to all the Hartman family.

Bob served the Carmel Schools with dignity and provided outstanding leadership during a period of enrollment growth, changes in school board culture and doing so by providing excellent school facilities in which the staff could deliver exemplary programs. Well done, Bob!K

Ann - you were always there for our parents. You and Bob were trusted friends. As a school board member - no doubt one of Dad's proudest moments was his participation in selecting the Hartmans to lead the Carmel School system - we remember when you arrived in Carmel.

Now Bob joins Melissa - she has been waiting since 1990. Obo and Pa were blessed to have had such wonderful friends.

Mike, Mark and Mary Beth - Sally and I will keep you in our prayers.

Love to all the Hartman Family,

Jim O'Neal, Jr.

Dear Hartman Family,

There are few things more difficult than dealing with the loss of a loved one. We, along with our staff, are honored and humbled that you have chosen our family to care for your family during this time. It is our hope that we have been able, in some small way, to lighten your burden and give proper reverence to a life lived. Please let us know if we can be of further service.

Respectfully,
