Message from the Family

With sadness, I have lost my Father and Friend. He now resides in the Kingdom of Heaven. His academic work is a tribute to him. He was a scholar, a teacher, and a man who touched everyone he met. Rest in eternal peace my Father.




Some people live life - Raphael embraced it. He was passionate and rich with spirit that most people only dream of having in our life time.

I will always remember the wonderful twinkle in his eyes, his powerful yet sweet voice and loving demeaner.

Raphae's zest for life touched all the knew him. He will remain in our heart's forever.

Grandpa was one of the funniest and sweetest men in I know. My fondest memory is of him taking my hand as a child and guiding me into the waters of Galveston Island's West Beach. At first I was afraid, but my excitement grew and made me eager to go out farther and explore. "Not too far, not too far," he said with his rich, beautiful accent. "Enjoy the waves."
