Justice Franklin Warden

Shared a day with Frank and my father(Dale) on a trip to see the trumpeter swans near Heber a couple of years ago..loved to hear his stories and be in the company of such a fine genuine man.

Uncle Frank was a great man. LOL Irving at 'Goldwing in Heaven' I can see it now! He was an awesome, amazing uncle who was a big supporter of everyone he met. Aunt Dorothy, I'm so sorry for your lose.

I simply cannot fathom a world that does not have Frank in it... Frank was so genuinely interested in our lives- in my life- that I always subconsciously sought his approval. To ever think that I had disappointed Frank, even now, would crush me. Oddly enough, though Frank knew me quite well, I was unaware of many aspects of his life outside the church. It was only at the funeral of a dear friend, seeing Frank again in person after many years, that I had a startling realization. Even though I had always planned to become an actress (and Frank immediately pointed this out to me- of course he remembered!), I instead went to Hendrix College (earning a degree with honors in Religion), then to law school. Sound familiar? And I did all of this without realizing that I was following in such esteemed footsteps. When I mentioned my myriad lawschool hardships to Frank, walking slowly together toward 16th Section Cemetery for the interment, he casually said "well, when I was in law school..." I was floored. Now, knowing what I do about Frank's path in life, I know that he is proud of me- and I cannot tell you how much that means to me. I will be getting married one month from today, and I hoped to see Frank's face at the hometown reception we will be hosting in January. I even hoped for a quick reiteration of our vows before Frank, as our ceremony venue provides its own officiant. Now, however, when I light the memorial candle at our reception, there will be one more angel lending his fire and light to the room. I love you, Frank, and I will continue to try to make you proud- for the rest of my life.

My father & I always enjoyed Frank's company. He was a joy to be around and he was my friend. My only regret is not spending more time with him. I can only imagine his new "Gold Wing" in Heaven. What a joy to ride the perfect highway!

We will greatly miss Frank Warden. He was such a unique person and always made me smile. Loved the stories about all the old families in Scott that he would tell me (Stephanie). He had an open mind and heart and will be greatly missed. We pray for Gods peace and comfort for Dorothy and the family.
