Memories & Candles
I just learned this morning of Bob's passing last month. I was saddened to hear the world lost another Great One. Bob gave me my very first opportunity in the real working world when I was just a "wet eared" kid in 1976. He took me in and taught me not only about the transportation industry, but about the important things in life. I never really knew about his personal life but if he managed his household the way he

I am truly saddened upon hearing the loss of Mr. Bob Buchanan. His son, Chris & I have known each other since high school and is one of my dearest friends. I've had the pleasure of meeting both Bob & Pat Buchanan back in 1976 (to this day, I still called them Mr. & Mrs. Buchanan). I always considered them as my second set of parents, as Chris & I spent many evenings playing cards at their house in Yukon,

My fondest memory of Bob is when he lived on the Tri-state property south of Seneca. I was only about 13 or 14 and he treated me like his own son. He would turn Chris and I loose with the horses and let us ride all day. I'll never forget the memories he helped create. He was John Wayne to me!!!

I will miss you Uncle Bob. You were there for us when I was a child. I loved the time I spent with you and Aunt Pat in Oklahoma. I was so great to talk to you just a few weeks ago. I am going to miss the trucking stories and just hearing your voice. I love you and know that you are in heaven with grandma, grandpa and uncle Ron.

Dad called me the day before his surgery and I was able to tell him I loved him. I'm very thankful for that. What has always amazed me about my dad was the number of people who he touched. Whether in buisness or his personal life, he always gave more than expected. He taught me what integrity, honor, loyalty, trust and compasion meant. Dad lived his whole life protecting and taking care of his family at what ever cost. He

My memories of Bob are so many. The one that always come to mind for me, is Bob made a bet with me that I would not ask David Duncan out on a date in Dec 1993. It was great for me in two way David and I have been married since 1995. I had the oppurtunity to work with and be a friend to Bob. Pat and Bob were there when my daughter graduated from OU and supported her
