Larry was my favorite driver and a huge influence on me at an early age. I am truly sad at hearing his passing. When I was a teenager, my father was the track announcer and my mother was a lap judge at races in batesville and heber. I had a picture of Larry and I sitting on the number 25 that was one of my most treasured posessions. Unfortunately, it was lost in a house fire but Larry will always

So sorry for your loss. Back in the 70's, I watched Larry race every weekend during the racing season at Garner, Heber Springs, Des Arc and Batesville. He was one of the very best. Later, when I had Jemme in 8th grade American History, he came and talked to my classes about his experiences in Vietnam.
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm sure Larry had many titles in life, but to me, he was a racing legend. Larry drove #25 'White Lightening' for my Uncle Billy Hattabaugh. Winning races, doing victory spin-outs, throwing bubble gum to the fans, and even giving kids rides in the race car, these things made Larry a larger than life figure to a lot of us. We will miss you Larry. Thanks for the memories.

I was saddened to hear of Larry's passing. A lot of my memories of the early 70's included Larry. He will be missed by all.

I will never forget in '93 when Larry flew me over the Corvettes of Arkansas show at Berryhill Park so I could video and photograph that assembly. That photo is still in the National Corvette Museum and is one of my favorite memories of all time. He was one of a kind and a friend to all. I have told my wife about my friends there in Searcy and why I am always drawn home to there. Larry is a central character in those tales and his memory will continue to add to our lives.
