Adrienne Don

Adrienne Don was born in San Francisco, California on June 25th 1951 to Ernest and Amy Hong. She was the fun loving and goofy middle sister to Patricia and Deborah. Adrienne was a graduate of San Francisco State and worked as Vice President for Bank of California for over 15 years. She married her best friend and the love of her life, Richard Don on August 1st 1981 and became a stay at home mom when her daughters were born. Adrienne had three children: Jessica, Laura and her beautiful angel Samantha.

Her daughters were the center of her world and spoke with them daily. She was their best friend and would always be sure to tell them how proud she was of their close relationship as sisters. She was also happy that both Jessica and Laura have found great men to share their lives with. Jessica married Benjamin in July 2010 and a private wedding ceremony for Laura and her husband Alex was performed just last month in her honor.

Adrienne's favorite pastime was baking for friends and family. She supported the Buddhist Universal Church and baked for the BUC annual church play. Her sweets were enjoyed by many people and her favorite recipes will be remembered.

She was a big sports fanatic and was an avid supporter of her San Francisco Giants and 49ers. She enjoyed talking sports with her son-in-laws and was always the first to share a sports stat or a current event to those close to her.

Adrienne loved to travel and often went on weekend getaways with Richard and vacationed with her sisters on their annual trip to Disneyland. Adrienne, Richard and the kids spent many holidays celebrating with close family and friends in Arizona and loved visiting different parts of the world on cruise ships. Adrienne and Richard also enjoyed traveling internationally and recently spent a couple weeks in Italy this past year.

While she battled cancer, she was comforted by the unwavering love, support and dedication from her family and friends. Through her illness, she kept her quiet dignity and her unparalleled sense of humor intact. We know in our hearts she is resting in peace and will keep us safe and healthy. Words cannot express how much she will be missed but her fun loving spirit will live within all of us forever. Today, and always we will celebrate her passing on to a new life and remember the beautiful person that she is.

Adrienne is survived by her husband, Richard Don, daughters, Jessica (Benjamin) Ryan and Laura (Alex) Shriver; mother, Amy Hong; sisters, Patricia (Challand) Dea and Deborah (Hansen) Lee; mother-in-law, Florence Don; sister-in-laws, Phyllis Miller, Christine (David) Given, Pamela Don; brother-in-laws, Jeffery (Mimi) Don and Phillip Jr. (Alison) Don; nieces and nephews, Krystle Lee, Nicholas Dea, Matthew Lee, Kevin Woon, Remi (John) Crisp, Eric Woon, Aaron Don, Ryan (Sarah) Woon, Chelsea (Jay) Reitz, Robert Don, Kenneth Don, Brandon Horn and Kiley Horn.
