After the Schimmel's retired to SC, they came back to visit us in Michigan as well as our numerous visits to Mt. Pleasant. When we retired in 1992, we too moved to Mt. Pleasant right across the fairway in Fairway Place! Close isn't the word.....we were family. When we moved to Florida, our first visitors were Dottie and Chuck. After Dottie passed, Chuck continued to be our very dear friend and visit us often. Mac and I will miss him so much. He was our most true friend.

I worked for Chuck for many years at R&D in Champion's Design-Drafting Dept., and while we weren't friends outside of work, he was always a hard worker. He always talked about Vicki. My sympathy to the family.

So sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. Other than a Christmas card we haven' Loved them both.t been in touch lately but we had great times with Chuck and Dotty. Great guy!

And the jovial "how you doing stanger" when I would call to set up a time to play after missing several weeks. But most of all I will miss the warmth and sincerity of his smile. A wonderful reminder of how lucky we all were to know him!!
