Amy was born on June 7, 1933 in Denison, TX to the late Clyde and Violet McGirk and entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on July 31, 2012. Amy lived for her family and friends. She worked for Dallas Medical and Surgical, Southwestern Bell and State Farm Insurance. She moved to the Cedar Creek Lake area about 35 years ago from Austin to retire. She was a member of the "Harborettes" and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother James McGirk.

She is survived by her loving husband Bill White of Gun Barrel City, son Frank and wife Nadea of Harrison, AR, two daughters; Beverly Reichel of Atlanta, GA, Valli Sellers of Dallas, TX, seven grandchildren; Jason Sellers, Cari Johnson, Jefferey Reichel, Lori Dent, Whitney Pickard, Weston White and Walker White, six great-grandchildren, two sisters; Evelyn Belt and Melba Goadroad, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
