Anthony O. Mayers was born on January 25, 1950 in Barbados, West Indies. Anthony was the second of three children born to Wilma Mayers and Hugh Harper. Anthony was preceded in death by his grandmother, Geraldine Mayers in 1973 and his younger brother, Henderson Mayers in 2011. He is survived by his eldest brother Aldon Mayers, his mother, Wilma Mayers and two children, Anthony D. Mayers and Zana Z. Sanders.

Anthony was a bright and cheerful person. He was fun loving and had a youthful outlook toward life, spreading happiness and encouragement whenever possible. He graduated from Bay Primary in Barbados and Hempstead High School in New York.

Anthony was employed at the North American Company for Life and Health Insurance for thirty-three years. At the time of his retirement, he held the prestigious title of Chief Claims Consultant. He was also quite active in various social and professional developmental organizations at work and in the community.

Anthony has touched the lives of so many in a very positive way. He will be remembered for his warm, cheerful and gentle spirit and as his tireless commitment to true friendship. Anthony, Father, Son, Brother, Friend, is loved and will be dearly missed.
