Barbara A Cook , 79, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Barbara was a graduate of Purdue University, and worked as a school teacher with New Haven Elementary for 30 years, retiring in 1998. She was a member Grace-St. John United Church of Christ. She loved children, spending time at the lake, scrap booking and enjoyed her cat Molly. Surviving are her children, David, Bill and Cheryl; grandchildren, Teresa, Michele, Lisa and Jory and 3 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Vietor of Yanton, SD. Barbara was preceded in death by husband, Richard M Cook. Funeral Service is Thursday, 10:00 am, August 16, 2012 at - D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road with calling one hour prior. Rev. Julia Goodall officiating. Calling also Wednesday, August 15, 2012 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
