Bobbie Joe Meyers, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away July 28, 2012. He was born September 19, 1930 in Savannah, Tennessee to Andrew and Maudie Meyers who preceded him in death. Survivors include his children: Robert(Terry) Meyers, Richard(Susie) Meyers, David Meyers, Annette(James) Goolsby, Ronnie Meyers, Joey Meyers, James(Nessie) Meyers, Janene(Dan) Jones; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Rose (Cremone) Meyers in 1998, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Bobbie Joe was self-employed as a general contractor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed the outdoors, sitting on his porch, and traveling to Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial at Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
