Bryan Morin, of Fairfax, VA, formerly of New Orleans, LA, passed away at the age of 47, on July 19, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. Beloved husband of 18 years to Michelle Morin. Loving father of Brant Morin. Devoted son of Danny Morin, Sr. and his stepmother Linda, and Lucia De La Garza and his stepfather Michael Murphy. Cherished brother of David Morin (Lisa), Danny Morin, Jr., Adam Morin (Tammy), Jennifer Morin and Reed Crane. Adored uncle of Brittany, Blake, Brooke, Brandy, Ethan, Emma, Ella, Jillian and Bryce.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, he lived most of his life in New Orleans, and moved to Fairfax, VA in 2008. He is a US Army Veteran, and the Louisiana Army National Guard. Bryan was a Deputy with the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff's Office, and Police Officer with the Westwego Police Department and with the Greater New Orleans Expressway Commission, Causeway Police Department. He became a member of the Harley Owners Group in 2003.
The family will receive friends at the EVERLY FUNERAL HOME, 10565 Main Street, Fairfax, VA 22030 on Monday, July 23, 2012 from 5 to 7 PM. His remains will be forwarded to the Lakelawn-Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans, LA 70164. 504-486-6331, where a visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012, times are pending. Funeral Vigil and Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the St. Jerome Parish, Kenner, LA, times are pending. Entombment will be at Lakelawn-Metairie Cemetery.
If desired, memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to a cancer related charity of the donor's choice.
