Burl Dean Allen, 55, of Dover, died August 1, 2012 at his home. He was born December 15, 1956, at Dover, Arkansas to Burl Glen and Edith McMinn Allen. He loved being with family, loved the outdoors and he loved hunting.

Burl attended Pleasant Grove Assembly of God and was a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wiley Glen Allen; and a sister, Wanda Jean Allen.
Survivors include his wife, Angela Allen; son, Randall Allen; two daughters and sons-in-laws, Amanda and Jason Myers and Angela and Jeremy Swaffar, all of Dover; three brothers, Troy, David and Billy Allen, all of Dover; and three sisters, Linda Hampton and Brenda Lillard of London and Caffie Allen of Dover; five grandchildren, Brittney Myers, Isiah Myers, Eli Myers, Kyler Greer and Jaydin Swaffar all of Dover.

The funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Pleasant Grove Assembly of God with the Rev. Jackie Pledger officiating. Burial will be in Pollard Cemetery by Shinn Funeral Service

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service at the church
.
Pallbearers will be Billy Allen, David Allen, Jason Myers, Jeremy Swaffar, Justin Goldman and Jimmy Carter.
Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Meadows, Randall Allen, Roy Hampton and Gary Lillard.
