Danny Lunsford, age 61, of McDonough, GA passed away July 22, 2012. Danny was born in Griffin, GA the son of the late Hugh Slaton and Laura Virginia Wilkerson Lunsford. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Johnny and Tony Lunsford. Danny enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching his grandchildren in all of their activities. He graduated from Henry County High School Class of 1968. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. Danny worked as an insurance agent with Georgia Farm Bureau for 23 years. He enjoyed karaoke and playing golf. Danny never met a stranger or anyone that he could not make conversation with. Survivors are his wife of 39 plus years, Debbie Lunsford of McDonough; children, Bryant Powell (Pascha) of Locust Grove, Mike Lunsford (Tonya) of McDonough and Michelle Lunsford of McDonough; grandchildren, Brad, Matthew, Marissa, Slaton, Skylar, Chris, Isabella and Bransen; sister, Jeanette Norsworthy of Jackson; brother, Russell Lunsford of McDonough; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Danny will be Thursday, July 26, 2012 – 11:00 AM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Wilder officiating. Interment will follow at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. For those who wish in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Autism Speaks or Sacred Journey Hospice.
