David S. Rotuna, age 48, of Alliance, passed away at 6:19 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born August 9, 1963, in Alliance, Ohio, to James August Rotuna and Betty L. (Greiner) Rotuna.
After high school, David started working at the Alliance Country Club, Groves Appliance, and First Christian Church for 14 years. He was a family friend of Keith and Peggy Brill, and employee of Lingenfelter Brill for many years, assisting with special events.
David was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church.
David married Brenda J. (Morrison) Moore-Rotuna, October 17, 2009, which brought David happiness and blessed him with an even larger, loving family.
He loved to be with people, no matter where he would be, Disneyworld, Ocean City or Silver Park, someone would see David and yell, hey "Tuna."
He was a hard worker, and a man with a golden heart.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda J. (Morrison) Moore-Rotuna; step-children, Danielle Moore (Andre' Teixeira), Nicole (Aaron) Jones, Thomas Moore (Melissa Kerrigan) and Tyler Moore (Andrea Blake); grandchildren, Tra, Leah, Tori, Mari, and Braxtyn; siblings, James K. Rotuna, Kathy (Bill) Earley and Jannifer (Jim) Rotuna-Dicko; nephew, Nicholas; and his best friend and devoted dog, Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and beloved sister, Susie, on May 9, 2011, whose loss he felt daily.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012 at Feed My Sheep Ministries with Pastor Bobby Williams officiating.
We, David's family, are thankful that we had the opportunity to experience life with him and that we will all be together again.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to be used for their discretion.
Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 S. Union Ave., Alliance, Ohio 44601.
