Doris was born May 27, 1930 in Somonauk, Illinois to William and Elsie (Hendricks) Buhler. She married Harry Larsen on February 20, 1954. While she was secretary for the Somonauk High School and Sandwich High School, she had the pleasure of working with teachers, students and staff. She retired after 27 years of service. Doris and Harry enjoyed retirement by traveling and fishing. They moved to Arizona in 1998 to not only be closer to their family but also to enjoy the beautiful weather. Doris loved to travel, spend time with her friends and family, fish, play bingo, and coordinate social and charity events for her Fairways community. Survivors include her son, Larry (Jackie) Larsen of Phoenix, Arizona, her daughter, Mary Ann (Ed) Zimmerman of Chandler, Arizona and brother, Norman Buhler of Topeka, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harry and her brother, Keith Buhler. Memorial contributions may be made to the Open Door Rehabilitation Center in Sandwich, Illinois or Home of Hope in Casa Grande, Arizona.
