Dorothy (Dot) was born on June 14, 1921 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was the oldest of 5 children, and she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Edward Stephens, her parents, Henry and Emma Mossman, her sisters, Betty Mossman Styles, Ann Mossman Riggs, and brother, Bill Mossman.

While serving in the Coast Guard during WWII and stationed in Jacksonville, Florida, Dorothy met her future husband, Andrew,(Steve) Stephens, prior to starting a family they moved to Hapeville, Georgia; eventually relocating to Santa Clara, California in 1957. Dorothy worked 30 years for NASA at Moffett Field in Mountain View, CA, until she retired in 1982.

As a Grandma, Dorothy always loved having a house full of kids. In the summertime, her pool was always full, from her grandkids, to the neighborhood kids, everyone called her Grandma. She loved bowling and played on leagues for years and she always had her Circleword puzzle books close at hand. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. Dorothy loved telling her stories to anyone who would listen about her life and all she has done.

She is survived by her 3 children: Andrew Stephens (Maggie), Elizabeth Stephens Lamers (Larry), and Hank Stephens (Karen).

9 grandchildren: Sherri Stephens Kadi, Andrew Stephens Jr., Michael MacArthur (Hasbleidy), Mark MacArthur (Cheri), Stephen Lamers, Brad Stephens (Kristen), Adam Stephens (Stacey) , Shannon Stephens, Shawn Stephens (Heidi).

13 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, and Christopher Kadi, Joshua Stephens, Taylor, Aidan, and Colin MacArthur, Bryan Rodriguez -MacArthur, Levi and Nolan Stephens, Avery Stephens, Peyton Stephens and Porter Stephens.

She is also survived by her youngest sister, Marion Wood and numerous nieces and nephews.
