I was very sad to hear of Dottie's passing. I don't know of any other person in my life that I held such a special long-distance connection with. Dottie has a heart of gold and I will always remember our conversations on the phone. She would tell me about growing up in the Bronx and the love of her life, JC. They have a love that will last forever. I was always envious of the love these two wonderful people

I was very sad to hear of Dottie's passing. I don't know of any other person in my life that I held such a special long-distance connection with. They have a love that will last forever. I was always envious of the love these two wonderful people shared. I had the pleasure of surprising her and JC one day with a knock at the door. I am going to miss Dottie dearly but she will always be in my heart. Her greatest joy was making her family happy.
When I talk to Debbie, I hear Dottie's voice. Although I've never had the pleasure of meeting her daughter, I feel like she's an old friend. Dottie's family was her world and I know that she is in Heaven now and making the coffee like she always did at night.
Rest in peace my dear friend and someday we will be together again. I love you, Bunkin!

Dottie and I emailed each other for many years and her emails were always such a pleasure to read.
Her beauty came thru in all of those she sent to me.
Sadly we lost contact as life got in the way, as it sometimes does.

Never have I seen a more devoted husband and wife. Little did they know, by their devotion to one another, that they became mentors for Duke and I. I believe to this day that the devotion that we have for each other, such a large part of it was by their example.
Dottie was a lady in every sense of the word. She was not afraid to defend her GOD if anyone ever took HIS name in vain. She showed her love and devotion to him by living a Godly life. She honored him with her beautiful talented voice. She had the voice of an Angel.
We will keep these memories in our hearts FOREVER because with memories like these, you could never forget.

I just adored my Aunt Punkin. She was so much fun and always mad us laugh. I remember growing up we would have family holiday dinners and play ping pong till the early morning hours, she was a pro! My children thought it was great when they were young because at an early age they already exceeded her in height. She was pint size in physique but had a gallon size heart. I am so thabkful I just got to see her in May. Aunt Punkin you are loved and will be dearly missed!

I STARTED WORKING FOR "BOLDER CONCRETE" IN OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA FOR JIM ISLEY AROUND 1981 I MET J.C. AND DOT BOYINGTON.WE HAD SO MUCH FUN GOING FISHING AND SHARING STORIES ABOUT GROWING-UP, MEETING OUR TRUE LOVES,GETTING MARRIED,HAVING KIDS,THEN OF COURSE HAVING GRANDKIDS.LOVED TO HEAR DOT SING, SUCH A BEAUTIFUL LADY...SHE WILL CERTAINLY BE MISSED, HILDA KELLY

God bless Dottie! she was one of a kind :-) we had such fun watching the super bowls and the baseball games together on the computer, with her in florida and me in missouri, laughing. emails were fast and furious during those games. she will always bring a smile to my face. my thoughts and prayers to her family.

Dottie was our neighbor for many years and saw all my kids grow up. She was a sweet lady and wonderful neighbor. I feel like a lost a part of family knowing she's gone. Dottie Boyington will always be remembered and is a great inspiration for young couples. We love you Dottie, The Dirksz Family
