Born in Chicago, Illinois on December 26, 1941, she spent her childhood on her parents farm in Somers, Wisconsin. She had been a resident of the Bay Area for 35 years. She was the loving and beloved wife of 50 years to Dr. David C. Innes, Sr., and the cherished mother of Delbert Innes (Paula), David Innes Jr., Deborah Kelly (Brian) and Megan Regal (Kevin). She is survived by a sister, Priscilla McCullough (John) of Racine, Wisconsin; two nephews, Peter McCullough and Paul McCullough (Kerrie) and their daughter Lexie; and by eight grandchildren and many "adopted" grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Sarah Marie Innes.
She was by nature a helping and nurturing person, and was a devoted helpmate to her husband in his role as Pastor at Hamilton Square Baptist Church in San Francisco, where she was active in many ministries, including Sunday School, Choir, a Book Ministry, and cooking and hospitality for countless events. She loved sewing and quilting; even during her illness with cancer she quilted two king-size quilts for her grandsons as future wedding presents. She worked for several years as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and was retired from the nursing profession.
