Delorius "Elaine" Gardner Brouhard, 62, of New Bern went home to be with the Lord on Saturday May 12, 2012 at CarolinaEast Medical Center. She was born in New Bern and graduated from Havelock High School in 1968. She was a member of the New Bern Church of God and was a loving wife and mother, avid bingo player and co-founder of the New Bern Babe Ruth Girls Fastpitch Softball League. She was preceded in death by her Father, Donald Gardner and her Brother, Don Gardner.

Memorial service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Pollock-Best Funeral Chapel with a time of visitation immediately following the service.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Tom Brouhard, III of New Bern; her Mother, Clara Shelton of Havelock; her three Children, William Steven Melkonian of Wilmington; Alisha Melkonian Taylor of Bridgeton and Davonna Brouhard Short of New Bern; and her six Grandchildren, Joshua Melkonian, Tyler Melkonian, Ashley Taylor, Caleb Cannon, Jaslyn Short, and Justin Short, Jr.
