Everett E. Parks, 88, of Fort Wayne, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, July 30, 2012. Born in Marion, IN, Everett served in 50 missions as a Waist Gunner on a B24 during WWII. He was a teacher and coach to hundreds of children and a Principal with Central Noble and Whitley Co. School System, retiring in 1987. He attended Three Rivers Wesleyan Church. "Everett was an example of what a father, grandfather and husband should be." He is survived by his wife, Virgie Parks; sons, Mike (Marla) Parks of Cloverdale, IN and Larry (Kathy) Parks of Albion, IN; daughters, Bev Parks of Ft. Wayne, Teresa (Rev. Eric) Ball of Yuba City, CA and Patti (Kevin) Templar of Spencerville, IN; brother, James Parks of VA; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, Rueben Curtis and Mary Elizabeth Parks; daughter, Marianne Parks; and brother, Robert Parks. Funeral service is 7 pm, Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Three Rivers Wesleyan Church, 2825 Hillegas Rd with Rev. Brett Parks officiating. Calling at the church will start at 4 pm.
