In loving memory of Fred Randell Parsons, a beloved husband, father, and brother, who passed away suddenly on August 11, 2012. Loved by his grandchildren and proud of becoming a new great-grandfather, he was a veteran of our armed forces, a dedicated Aggie (Class of '71), and traveled where his love of aeronautics led him. Eventually settling in Kansas,he cultivated his career as a manager at Cessna Aircraft in Wichita while residing in Clearwater. In 2009, he and his wife Emily gave up the corporate life and retired in Sun City Georgetown, Texas to join family and be closer to his three children. He held a special pride as he was able to watch his son carry on the Aggie tradition as a Texas A&M Graduate, Class of 2009.

He is survived and missed by his wife, Emily Parsons;three children, daughters Michelle Bernaix and Shannon Parsons; son Kyle Parsons; son in law Darren Bernaix;sister Sharon Borgh; two special aunts, Elsie Parsons and Linda Cullender;granddaughters Nicole and Alyssa Bernaix; and his new great-granddaughter, Kaylee Simpson. His extended family and friends are far too many to mention but are a testament to his character and no less important. Aside from his family and friends, his greatest loves were flying, fishing, Aggie football, and vacationing in Hawaii.

Services will be held on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 11:00AM at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with Pastor Kelly Barnett officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Serving as Pall Bearers will be Kyle Parsons, Darren Bernaix, Ralph Friesen, Ken Friesen, Carl Borgh, and his lifelong friends Larry Self and Dave Evans.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be given to the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M. Gifts for the Corps General Scholarship Endowment should be made payable to the Texas A&M Foundation and mailed to 401 George Bush Drive, College Station, Texas 77840. Please note on your check "in memory of Fred Parsons '71." This will provide financial support for an incoming student and something Fred felt very strongly about.

You are invited to share a message or memory in the memorial guestbook at www.RamseyFuneral.com
