"Georgia Jean (Brumley) Kruse passed away on Saturday, July 28th in Encinitas, California. She was seventy-eight years old. Born August 5, 1933 in Middletown, Ohio, Georgia married her high-school sweetheart, Fred A. Kruse at the age of eighteen. They raised four children together in Salem, New Hampshire, where she made her home for over 40 years. Georgia also had a successful 25 year career, including 12 years as a legal secretary. She lived in southern California for the last few years of her life.
Georgia was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Fred A. Kruse (1932 - 1999). She is survived by her children: Fred A. Kruse Jr (Candia) of Frisco, Colorado; Frank K. Kruse (Ann) of Park City, Utah; Karen E. Dawson (Cam) of Falmouth, Massachusetts; and Melinda DiPerna (Paul) of Encinitas, California. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Jennifer Kruse, Geoffrey Kruse (Ingrid), Kenneth Kruse, Jillian Kruse, Patrick Kruse, Kelsie DiPerna, Christopher Dawson, and Alaria DiPerna.
Georgia enjoyed gardening, painting, classical music, bird watching, literature, genealogy, and cats. Her primary passion, however, was the art of conversation. She would talk to anyone about anything for as long as she was awake. We will dearly miss her conversation, her sharp wit, and her humor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made "In Memory of Georgia Kruse" to Elizabeth Hospice, a not for profit, in Escondido, CA. Donations are accepted online at: www.elizabethhospice.org/form; via check or money order to 150 W. Crest St., Escondido, CA 92005; or by calling 760-796-3737.
