H.R. "Bob" Baer died Thursday after a short illness. He served his country in World War II as a fighter pilot in the European theater, completing 83 combat missions. He supported his family through a career in insurance claims management, retiring from his own company after over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his daughter Toni Eileen Baer. He is survived by his loving wife Dolline Baer; two sons Michael (Cindy) Baer and Scott (Wanda) Baer; grandchildren Amy, Susie and Robert; great-grandchildren Sam, Bo, Ellie and John Henry; and new and old friends. Bob was a believer in Jesus Christ and would desire that the gospel be furthered through donations to: Wycliffe Bible Translators, P.O. Box 628200, Orlando, FL 32862.
