Jacob Nathaniel Gadson, Jr. was born Novemer 25, 1938 in Rutherford, NC. On Friday, August 17, 2012 , the heavenly doors opened and ushered in Jake, as he was affectionately called, at the age of 73. At an early age, he moved to Washington, DC, where he graduated from McKinley High School. He served in the United States Air Force , where he completed his tenure of service with an Honorable Discharge. Mr. Gadson attended Howard University and the University of Maryland, where he pursued and earned a degree in the field of Business. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Lou Gadson of Silver Spring, MD, his mother, Martha Gray Gadson, who resides in Capitol Heights, MD, a brother, Herbert Gray (Viola) of Capitol Heights, MD, sister, Tawana Prue (Billy) of Washington, DC , brother-in-law, Clark Gaither (LaVerne) of Winston-Salem, NC, two sister-in-laws, Veronica Gaither Jones of Pfafftown, NC, and Aldrenia Gaither of Winston-Salem, NC , two god daughters, Julianna Rose Davis of Charlotte NC and Michal Taylor of Laytonville, MD, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church members.
The physical portal of time, that we knew as Jacob Gadson, Jr., is now confined to the memories of those who loved him on earth, as God now welcomes him to His heavenly home. " To God be the Glory!"
