James Arthur "Jim" Shoufler Sr., 71, of Hoopeston, IL, formerly of Milford, IL, passed away at 4:18 P.M. Wednesday November 21, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was born March 3, 1941 in Watseka, IL, the son of John "Jack" and Pearl (Finnley) Shoufler. He married Jennifer Clingenpeel on July 10, 1975 in Powderly, KY. She survives in Hoopeston.
He is also survived by: three daughters, Tracy (Mike) Anderson of Warsaw, MO, Misty Shoufler (Chris) of Adair, IA and Shannon Shoufler (Leland) of Adair, IA; James Shoufler Jr. of Mathis, TX and William Pentecost of Stockland, IL; one sister Jane (Rick) Keller of Cayuga, IN; nine grandchildren, Amber (Justin) of Brockton, MA, Brittany (Coulton) of Anita, IA, Joshua of Ft. Wainwright, Alaska, Courtney of Emmetsburg, IA, Regan, Kendall, Ryan and Brayden all of Adair, IA and Spencer of Stockland, IL; one great-grandchild on the way and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Jackie and one grandson Jesse.
Mr. Shoulfer worked for Reeves Bros. Construction in Milford, IL. He served in the United States Army. Jim enjoying fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
