Joan Boelema, age 84, of Grandville, went home to be with her Lord, Friday, December 28, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Boelema, last year on December 23; and her brothers, Louis and Jim Vos.
Joan will be lovingly remembered by her children, Merrie (Doug) Mulder, Marcie (Jack) Pyper, Julie (Tim) Bulson, Jane (Jim) Oosterman, John (Kim) Boelema; her 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; her siblings, Dolly Snoeyink, Cheryl (Don) Karsten; her sisters-in-law, Phyllis (David) Blossom, Jude (Bob) Walters, Cookie Langfeldt, Shirley Riemersma; and her nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may visit with Joan's family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Sunday, December 30, at Cook Memorial Chapel in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (east building). Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday at Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 5250 Byron Center Ave. SW in Wyoming. Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery.
