He is still one of the tallest men I ever met and often, as a child, thought he was a giant among men. Dollar Store runs and garden checks and Sunday visits to extended family are memories I treasure. I look back and remember how amazing he and my grandmother were to me and my siblings and feel thankful, lucky, and blessed. They made my rocky childhood happy, and stable. He and my Granny may have had their arguments (always in French, so the kids wouldn't understand), but they had a true and deep love. It's the kind of love that is envied. I hope people remember this man for all the love and devotion he gave to his family, and that I am sure he is still giving.
