Gutierrez, Joshua, 20, of Tampa, FL, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012 in Orlando, FL. He was born May 12, 1992 in Silver Spring, MD. He is the son of Luis and Damariz Gutierrez. He graduated from Mitchell High School in 2010, where he was a member of the track and field team as well as an honor student. He was currently enrolled at Valencia Community College majoring in General Education and pursuing a degree in Business. Joshua had a very big heart and was always looking out for all his close friends and family. He worked out on a regular basis and was very passionate about fitness. He loved to play all different sports and was very competitive. He enjoyed house music and going to events with his close friends and brothers. He had tremendous love and care for his mother and always made sure to come home to be with her. Joshua is survived by his parents, Luis and Damariz, his brothers Adrian and Nicolas, and his dog Cocoa. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Jose and Elena Sancho, of Silver Spring, MD; and his paternal grandmother, Magdalena Gutierrez-Diaz of Hyattsville, MD. He is also survived by his close friends, several aunts, uncles and cousins. A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 8 from 4-8pm at Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 West Bearss Ave Tampa, FL 33618. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 9 at 10am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 12708 North Dale Mabry Hwy Tampa, FL 33618. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Joshua Gutierrez Memorial Fund at any local Wells Fargo Bank with the following account number 8915666799. Thank you to all friends, family, and loved ones for all your generosity as well as your thoughts and prayers. Joshua was a disciplined, strong, kind, and generous soul who will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
