Judith Ann Shirven, of Georgetown, Texas , passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, January 7, 2013 in Round Rock after a short, but courageous battle with cancer. Judy was born in New Jersey on August 11, 1939 to William Meyer and Julia Meyer. Judy grew up in Paramus, New Jersey and lived many years in New York and Massachusetts before moving to Sun City, in 1999. Judy always had a creative side where sewing and hooking rugs was an interest to her in her earlier years, but she fell in love with weaving in her later years. She even belonged to a weaving group called the Warp Maidens. Judy also loved making jewelry and knitting.

Surviving family members include her two daughters: Sharon Lynn Rhein and husband Danny, Cheryl Sedivec and husband Peter Janak; two brothers: William Meyer and wife Betty, Brain Meyer and wife Gloria; two grandchildren: Amber Rhein and Kenny Janak; plus seven nieces and one nephew.

A memorial service will be held at The Oaks, in Sun City, from 11:00-3:00 p.m. with an informal service starting at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013.

Memorial donations may be made in Judy's memory to Georgetown Animal Shelter or Brookwood in Georgetown (BiG).
