Justin W. Ames, 31, Gleason, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 4, 2012 at his home. He was born March 3, 1981, the son of Dean Ames and Kelley (Boyle) Heidemann. Justin was a 1999 graduate of Merrill Senior High School. He enjoyed playing sports, participating in baseball, soccer and football during high school. Justin was a loving son and a kind spirit. He was very thoughtful and caring, always helping others. There was nothing he wouldn't do to help someone in need. He lived life the way he wanted. In his pastime, Justin enjoyed playing fantasy football and spending time with his family. Survivors include his mother and step-father: Kelley (Tim) Heidemann, Merrill; father: Dean Ames, Antigo; step-brother: Heath (Danielle) Heidemann, Merrill; step-sister: Heather (Jason) Wolff, Merrill; grandmother Yvonne Ames; Uncle: Dwayne (Le) Boyle, Mesquite, TX; Aunt: Luanne Boyle, Port Washington, WI; special Aunt & Uncle: Barbara (Francis) Montabon, Gleason; Uncle: Darrell Ames; Aunts: Lisa (Tim) Rogers; nieces and nephews: Aaron & Allison Wolff, Jack Daplstrom and Cade Heidemann; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold & Pearl Boyle, paternal grandfather, Dwayne Ames, Uncles, Robert Boyle and Richard Watson and Aunt Kathleen Watson. Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, March 9, 2012 at Waid Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Don Entenman will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11 – 1 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Merrill Memorial Park. The family requests donations be made to St. Vincents, the Merrill Food Pantry, Helping Hands or the charity of choice. Waid Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.waidfuneral.com.
