A male baby was born unto Abdul "Roc" Muhammed and Carolyn Jean King on February 15, 1972. At an early age he received Christ into his life. He attended L. B. Johnson High School, graduated in 1989 then attended Alabama A&M University. He grew up to be a well known gentleman who gave his service to Christ at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Kevin Maxwell, Sr. leaves behind a longtime true, loving companion Tonya Owens (Maxwell) mother of daughter Khamirah of Austin; son Kevin Maxwell, Jr. and his wife Kaitlyn Maxwell of Austin; daughter Khelsea Maxwell of Waco; one granddaughter Kassidy Maxwell; one sister, Anjaie Muhammed; two brothers Shahid and Niazi of Chicago, Illinois; special brother/friend Jason Gregg and special cousin Tonya Maxwell-Ware. Also, he leaves cherishable memories and moments of joy with a host of friends, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom held a very special place in his life. Let's not forget his "Bud Ice" and the cooler, too. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Jeffrey King; father Abdul "Roc" Muhammed and mother Carolyn King whom all are rejoicing together once again.
