Kevin O. Searcy, 37, went home to his eternal rest on Monday, July 23, 2012 after a courageous battle with Cancer. Kevin was a native of Belle Chasse, La and was a current resident of Denham Springs, La.
Kevin will be forever missed by his parents, Joe and Veronica McKenzie and his wife, Melissa. He will always be mourned by his brothers Glen Searcy (Rose), Heath Searcy (Dana) and his sisters Aprille Dunham (Marty) and Jewell Guillot (Russell).
Kevin touched so many lives, including those of his children, Bailey, Marissa, Tommy, Traci, and Hannah. He leaves behind many happy memories with his grandchildren Chris, Zach, Katelyn and Jake.
Kevin will never be forgotten by his Aunts Carolyn Miller and Geneice Turnage (Sammy), his uncle Bert Waters (Nancy) and many beloved Nieces and Nephews. Finally, he leaves behind his beloved canine companion, Cheech.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Glen Searcy, Sr, his grandparents, Bert, Sr. and Lillie Waters, Wesley and Dovie Searcy, and Jimmy W. Mckenzie and Maxine Quick. He was also preceded by his Uncle, Dwight Miller, his Aunt, Loma Searcy, and his nephew, Heath Jason Searcy, Jr.
Kevin was a kind and gentle man, who never had a bad word to say about anyone. A happy child who became a quiet, intelligent man, Kevin brought a peaceful feeling just by his presence. His jokes were subtle but never cruel and his smile made everyone around him smile as well. An avid Saints fan, Kevin loved watching football, being with his family, and spending time on his computer. He will be forever missed.
Services will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Thursday July 26, 2012 from 10:00am until funeral services in the funeral home chapel at 2:00pm. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Pease visit www.sealefuneral.com to leave messages for the family.
