Lois Johnson Peace, 83, of Harry C. White Manor in Spartanburg, died Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born May 6, 1929, she was daughter of the late Zeno Hicks Johnson Sr. and Laura Moore Johnson.

Mrs. Peace was retired from Dove Cleaners and of the Baptist faith. A God fearing lady who loved her family, she also loved to sing and play the piano.

Surviving are her children, Brenda Brewington and husband David Sr. of Chesnee, SC, Roger Peace and wife Susan of Boiling Springs, SC, Laura Stafford of Spartanburg, SC, and Butch Peace Sr. and Joyce of Daytona Beach, FL; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, David "L.D." Brewington Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kayla Jade Peace, Shawn Elliott Peace Jr., and Heaven Leigh Peace; four brothers; and a sister.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 12, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Marc Williamson and the Rev. Frankie Taylor. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Laura Stafford.
