Louise A. Gagliardi, a former supervisor for N.Y. Telephone and a 23 year teacher's aide in the Greenwood Lake School District having retired in 1996, died at her home on July 31, 2012. She was 80.
The daughter of the late Ciro and Genoeffa DeGioa Barbaro, she was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on September 15, 1931.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 60 years Martin M. Gagliardi at home. Her sons Joseph Gagliardi and his wife Susan of Georgia and Mark Gagliardi and his wife Karen of Monroe. Her grandchildren Christopher Gagliardi; Maria Gagliardi and Joseph Gagliardi. Her great granddaughter Delaney Reese and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Carolyn.
Visitation hours will be held on Friday August 3, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, N.Y.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 4 at 11 A.M. at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake.
Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery Middletown, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Assn. or the American Cancer Society.
