New Bern – Lucile Nancy Merriman Lineberger, 97, died Thursday April 26, 2012 at The Courtyards @ Berne Village. She was born in Wayne, Michigan February 27, 1915, daughter of the late Laurence and Emma Cooper Merriman.

She was a long time member of Centenary United Methodist Church and had worked as a legal secretary.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Tom Lineberger and her sister, Iras Merriman. She is survived by her son, William Lineburger and wife Sandra of Havelock; and one grandson, Mark Lineberger of Camp Verde, AZ.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
